Seven months after the release of the GoPro Hero13 Black, the Californian manufacturer unveils a limited Polar White edition of its action camera. This white version retains all the technical features of the original, while adding a distinctive aesthetic touch.

The same, but in white
Technically, the Hero13 Black Polar White has the same features as the classic Hero13 Black. It is equipped with a 1/1.9-inch CMOS sensor capable of capturing video at up to 5.3K at 60 fps and still photos at 27.6 MP. It also features HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization, guaranteeing smooth, stable shots even in the most hectic conditions.

The camera is still compatible with HB-Series interchangeable lenses, enabling new creative perspectives to be explored, thanks to a 177° ultra-wide-angle module, a macro module and an anamorphic module.

As a reminder, the camera is rugged and waterproof up to 10 meters without housing. It features a 2.7″ touchscreen on the rear and a 1.4″ front display for easy framing and navigation. Its Enduro 1,900 mAh battery provides 41 min of autonomy at 5.3K 60p, and even 1 h 44 min at 5.3K 30p.

Our first opinion
GoPro had already accustomed us to “White” versions of its action-cams, notably with the Hero3 or 2019’s Hero7 Dusk White. This time, the manufacturer is offering an updated version that includes the features of last year’s model. GoPro is thus adopting the opposite strategy to Insta360, which unveiled its Go mini camera first in white, then in black. On the other hand, GoPro could have called it Hero13 White, which would have made more sense.
